Car brand competition is something we’re all familiar with. Commercials, sports vehicles, and unique technology are all used to build brand reputation with both critics and the general public. From time to time, a study is released that details the public’s opinion on certain brands, as well as the overwhelming favorites. Sure, trends come and go, but understanding what cars are prefered and respected can help you find the right vehicle for your family.
Consumer Reports recently completed their latest Car-Brand Perception Survey. By interviewing 1,578 random adults in households that owned cars, CR determined the results through consumers’ perception of each car. USA Today explains what this means for car-buyers: “Perception isn’t necessarily reality. The scores are unrelated to CR‘s surveys of reliability or the publication’s road and track tests, nor are they connected to government and private crash-test scores.”
However, as mentioned before, the public’s favorites can be a great indication of what vehicle your family may need. In fact, versatile brands such as Toyota, Ford, Honda, and Chevrolet topped the list. This proves the ability these brands have to retain quality, affordability, and reputation among consumers nationwide. If you’re looking for something more exotic, Tesla, Cadillac, and BMW were listed at numbers 5, 9, and 10 respectively.
When shopping for an auto loan, surveys like this are invaluable to the entire research process. Utilizing informational studies, understanding your financial standing, and shopping around will provide you with the loan and car you need.
